1st Cowies Hill teaching community to LITTER LESS!

This is our Litter Less Project. The area we chose inspired us as there are many members of the publlc who go there and we can educate them.
On the 18 March 2023, 1st Cowies Hill Cub Scouts donned their plastic gloves and liberal amounts of sun screen, and we headed out to the local picnic areas. With black dustbin bag in hand we strode off to the people enjoying their sunshine and picnic lunches, and told them about the Litter Less Campaign, and how they could help by being more aware of what happens to their litter they dispose of. We hoped to inspire the people to take care of this beautiful planet we all share.
It is impossible to know how many people we impacted as we hope that the people we spoke to took our story home and shared it with their families. Its hard to say how we impacted the community, but I do think we made a difference.
We would have loved more training aids to share with the public - I think this would be a good idea for next time.
