12th national training of trainer of YPEER
12th National Training of Trainers (NTOT) went successful at Department of Youth, Thimphu. The 5 days’ program began from 8th of July to 12th July, 2019. Thirty students from different colleges all over the country took active part in the program. With the motive of making our youth more productive, informed and knowledgeable, Y-PEER Asia Pacific, UNFPA and DYS are providing full support to YPEER Bhutan for the very program.
NTOT is a very informal training for the youth which mainly focuses on Sexual Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) and Comprehensive Sexuality Education(CSE), aimed to give enough knowledge and skills to the youths and prepare them to be informed and good peer educators. The training is done through “edutainment”, which is a combination of education and entertainment which consists of presentations, guest speakers, group activities, role plays, energizers, videos and other fun activities. The program ended successful with 30 well informed and prepared peer educators who will put YPEER and its mandates forward to fight the rising issues in the best way.
The participants also took part in celebrating WORLD POPULATION DAY IN PANNEL DISCUSSION.
