11th Central Luzon Jamborette

Last December 10, 2013 (Wednesday) until December 15, 2013 (Sunday) 13 scouts from Don Bosco High School Joined the 11th Central Luzon Regional Jamboree held at Royal Northwoods Golf Residential Estates, Coral na Bato, San Rafael Bulacan. The Scouts went through 5 days of exciting and fun activities lead by Baguio Contingent Senior crew Leader Scout Ian Christopher Mangaoang & Asst. Senior Crew Leader Alvin Noel Gayados from Don Bosco High School and Baguio City National High School Respectively. The opening program of the Jamboree started at exactly 1600 hours of December 11, 2013. Regional Director Imelda Samson Opened the Jamboree with the formal declaration and the dawning to the Jamboree Flag. The following days were devoted to the 5 scout skill modules developed specially for the Jamboree. These were in order: Signalling, Orienteering, Global Development Village, Self-Defense~Arnis, and Peace Advocates. In Tandem with the 5 major modules were two mini modules: Tang Galing, a free membership sign-up program for the Tang Galing program which offers scholarships to students within the primary and secondary level of school and My World, a module created by the United Nations in cooperation with the WOSM (World Organization of the Scout Movement) to help raise awareness on global issues like Poverty, World Hunger, Calamities, Human Trafficking and many more. During December 12, 2013 the scouts of Baguio City Joined the scouts got talent night and the Cultural Presentations the following evening. On the last day of activities December 14, 2013 the scouts of Baguio Joined the Scout Skills Competition and Won 3rd Place in Knot tying. the night of December 14, 2013 the grand camp fire was held in tandem wight the closing program thereafter. The following day the scouts packed up their bags and proceeded to go home. Another Jamboree is Finished, but the memories and skill learned within the short duration of time together with fellow scouts alike will never be forgotten, it always remain an experience to remember.
