10th Bangladesh & 3rd SAANSO Scout Jamboree
The jamboree was held at the National Scout Traing Centre,Mouchak,Gazipur under the high supervision of Bangladesh Scouts National Headquarters.It was indeed a very unique program as for the first time in the history of World Scout Activities,SDG has been involved with the jamboree program.
In the jamboree more than 10000 scouts participated successfully.The participated scouts was from different regions of Bangladesh and 6 overseas scouts attended the jamboree were 1094 units with 9846 scouts was present.
In the jamboree there was 4 village and 12 subcamp were every village contains its Village chief & subcamp chief as well to supervise the scout program and scouts.
The activities of the program of the jamboree was named as 'Venture' and there are 14 of them, which include: in camp regular scout activities,fun activities,education tour,challanges,cultural activities etc.
The names of the ventures are:Morning Bird,Camp Craft,Obstacle,Study Tour,Hiking,Learning by doing,Pioneering & First Aid,SDG & SDV,Fun &Game,Neighbour,Faith's & Belief,General Knowledge,Campfire and Green Debate.
The participated scouts who did done all the ventures successfully was getting stickers by which they was able get 'Jamboree Award' by collecting 12 stickers.And the highest venture scorers unit was awarded with 'Running Shield'.
There was also Central Events such as:Inauguration Caremony,Top Achievers Gathering,Woodbage Gathering,Volunteer's Night,Grand Campfire,Cultural and Closing Caremony & Swapping.
To supervise the Events and Ventures programme there was also some management team like:Media Management,Technical Support,Food Management,Service Management etc worked hard to run the jamboree smoothly.
In the Jamboree there was 102 units of Dhaka Metropolitan Region with 918 scouts including Unit leaders also.Among them 1unit of boys was from our BIAM Model School & College Scout Group were they successfully participated the jamboree with compliting all the program, events & ventures as well and got the jamboree award.
I was also participated at the jamboree as APL of my patrol with the lead of our SPL.We did all the programme successfully and completed all the ventures as well and learned many thing as SDG was involved in the jamboree.It was an great experience to join the jamboree and after finishing the closing Caremony we returned to our home with lots of memories.
