Zambia Scout Association inducts and train District Scout Commissioners in MoP

Last weekend on Saturday Juine 01, 2019, more than 20 newly appointed District Scout Commissioners got inducted and also trained in Messengers of Peace (MoP). The training that took place at the National Headquarters Premises in Lusaka attracted participants from eight divisions of the ten invited. Supported by the Good governance Project funded by MoP that has seen Zambia Scout Association reorganized at all stages and also brought about a new leadership, the workshop was very successful.

The planned activities discussed and decided upon by the last National Commissioners' Committee and Divisional heads meeting were then introduced to the grassroot leadership in this training bring the main focus of good governance and growth to them.

The participants praised the new leadership and urged it to work harder to ensure that scouting once more became famous in the country as the biggest youth organization. Ms. Muyunda Munalula from Keyema District of Western Division said they were happy that things were now working smoothly warning anyone bent on disturbilazing scouting that scouters will not allow them any more.

Other participants from Northern and Muchinga Divisions appreciated the training stating that more of such should be organized to sensitize every scout leader in order to make the movement tick again like before.

The new Chief Scout Commissioner, Mr. Webster Diangamo and his deputy, Mr. Lazarous Mwaba who graced the occassion promised the leaders their full support in all their activities provided they followed laid down procedure and principles of scoutingh as proclaimed by the founder, Lord Baden-Powell.
