If you have yet to pick up and read Eduard Vallory's book, World Scouting: Educating for Global Citizenship, I would strongly encourage you to do so. It is a great read, clearly explaining much of what is so great about Scouting – in fact, this is exactly the kind of book that I wish I had had many years ago as I started out as a Scouter :) A couple of years ago, I wrote a more full review of Eduard Vallory's book for our Programme Committee blog (in English) – please see the link below.
