The Midlands Province Scouts (Zimbabwe) in partnership with Environmental Management Authority of Zimbabwe, Redcliff Leos, JCI Kwekwe commemorated the world environmental day with 220 youths, 30 adults on the 12th of June at a local school in the city of kwekwe. Lined up for the day were debate competitions by the high schools and drama competitions by the primary schools. The theme for this year's environmental day was Air pollution. A topic for the debate was derived from the theme which read, 'Air pollution, not poverty is the greatest threat to the human kind.' And for the dramas they were in line with the world theme as well. A lot of educational information was shared on the day on environmental issues.
