Trashion Show (Trash+Fashion)

Out of many activities that can be done during International Day of Peace, Paro College of Education Rovers chose Trashion Show, a kind of fashion show with waste or trash designed dresses to showcase. The idea came up with the combination of Fashion Show and Trash, to advocate the management of trash through fashion show. All the members started working on with the programme before 2 week of actual event. The program started with the messenger of Peace dance by all the energetic rovers to celebrate the opening of the program. All the rovers participate in dance wearing white Coloured clothes (t-shirt, Gho, Kira- National dress of Bhutan) with a white band on right hand to represent that we are all peace maker. After that the evening program kicked off with a various show casing of trash designed clothes by the Models. Dresses were showcased Crew wise representing their own creativity and designed clothes. The competition were among 4 crew with 3 dresses and model each. Along with fashion show, a set of dancers, singers and some other acts were performed by both rovers and non-rovers. Some games were played in between with judges and guest of honor. Program was graced by Dasho Ugyen Tshering (National Council member of Paro). At the end of the program the result were declared and prizes were given to each crew for securing their position. All the rovers and working team had a photo session with judges and guest of honor.
