The Ticket to Life Project has changed my life

Every year an Evaluation and Planning Workshop for the Asia-Pacific Region (APR) Ticket to Life Workshop is held. This year, it was held in Karachi, Pakistan from 6-9 December 2013. In the photo, the Scout wearing his uniform is Osama Hafeez. He is one of the Scouts, who are under the auspices of the APR Ticket to Life Project. Here is his story: “I am Osama Hafeez. I am 18 years old. I live in the area of Malir and I belong to Shah Faisal Scout Unit. My father is not alive. My mother, my sister and myself collectively earn money for our daily expenses. So, I decided to support my family by working in eyeglass shop and by selling chickpeas. From this shop of chickpeas, I became a Scout. With Operation One World, I was able to attend the World Scout Jamboree in Sweden. Coming back to Pakistan from the Jamboree, I realized that Education is necessary for everyone. I returned back to school and now have appeared in 10th class examination. The Ticket to Life Project has changed my life and made me what I am today!
