Teaching through traditional dances
What inspired you to take up the project?
The main motivation behind conducting this event was to teach scouts about the values of a Bhutanese and connecting back to our countries roots and teaching about corruption, nationalism, and patriotism through traditional dances like Zhungdra, boedra and rigsar.
What are the learnings you got from implementing this project and how would you make it better?
Through this project I've learnt lessons on why it is important for peace in the country and the importance of love for the country and I've learnt some traditional songs and dances which is essential for us to trace our roots as these songs are the very key to our countries uniqueness.
Where was your project implemented and how did you execute it?
This project was executed with the initiation of me and 3 other leaders with around 200 volunteer scouts of jampeling with the aim of teaching nationalism, patriotism and courption free country. We did zhungdra with a mix of drama tracing back to our roots and we did dances that showed the love for our country and why it is important to stop courption, and peace among the people in the country, this was all conveyed through the songs and dances.
