Tails of Kindness – A Scout is Kind to Animals
On a peaceful day at Ramna Park, we took a small step that reflected a big part of what scouting stands for — kindness, not just to people, but to all living beings.
As a Former Senior Patrol Leader of BIAM Model School & College Scout Group, I initiated a project called “Tails of Kindness – A Scout is Kind to Animals.” With the heartfelt support of Patrol Leader Rafiqul Islam Uday and a Rover Member from Samatat Open Scout Group, we set out with one simple goal — to feed stray dogs who roam the park in search of food, especially during times when human activity is low and their struggles grow.
Together, we fed 10 dogs at Ramna Park. We brought clean, fresh food and approached each animal with patience and care. Some were shy, some were friendly — but all were grateful in their own quiet ways. This wasn’t just about feeding dogs; it was about showing compassion, recognizing their pain, and reminding ourselves that kindness must be extended beyond human boundaries.
