A Summer Food Festival

As the Senior Patrol Leader of the 138 No. Unit, I organized this food festival to educate peers on the nutritional benefits of fruits and promote healthy eating habits. Noticing many students were unaware of fruit varieties and their health benefits, I believed a hands-on experience would be effective. The festival aimed to create a fun, engaging environment to inspire healthier food choices, combining education with enjoyment to foster a positive attitude towards fruits and healthy eating. I coordinated with school administration and leaders of the 138 and 372 No. Units to plan the event. My team and teachers sourced fruits from local markets. The 138 No. Unit set up stations and managed sessions, while the 372 No. Unit welcomed students and set up stations. We provided information about each fruit, engaged students with interactive sessions and quizzes, and students tasted fruits, receiving a lychee as a token of appreciation. The summer food festival boosted awareness of fruit in daily diets and their nutritional value through engaging, hands-on learning. Organizing with the 138 No. & 372 No. Unit highlighted teamwork and leadership, improving communication and planning. As Senior Patrol Leader, it honed my leadership in team management and event execution. The festival fostered community engagement, showing the impact of collaboration in promoting healthy living and inspiring positive change among peers.
