Special Olympics Bhutan Games and Health Camp.
What inspired you to take up the project?
My motivation was to support mentally disabled children by fostering social inclusion, joy, and care. I wanted to build a welcoming space where these children could feel celebrated, experience fun through play, and receive the community support they truly deserve.
What are the learnings you got from implementing this project and how would you make it better?
This project taught me the true value of patience, empathy, and inclusive community service. Working closely with mentally disabled children showed me how small acts of joy, games, and personal attention can deeply brighten someone's day. I also learned the importance of health awareness and how bringing medical check-ups together with recreational activities creates a holistic and impactful experience for vulnerable groups.
Where was your project implemented and how did you execute it?
On September 9, 2026, at the Jungshina Multi-Purpose Center, we organized nine interactive games for the children. We guided them through play, tracked their scores, cheered and danced together, and also arranged a free healthcare camp where doctors checked their health and tracked their progress.
