As we are the scout group called İZDOS, We had a great Jota-Joti camp during weekend and 85 scouts and leaders had participated. 11th -" Sinbad challenge" you can read some of the patrols' stories below.. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ HAWK PATROL Sinbad was walking through the sea side. When he was looking around, he saw a scout having purple and turquaz scarf. He walked and asked him what he was doing there. As showing the camp behind, the scout told that this was an international jota joti camp. Sinbad asked him what they were doing in jota joti camp. Scout told that here was an international scout camp depending on WOSM, wosm was sending activities, challenges and the participant scout were doing them. At the same time, everywhere on world, there are similar camps and the scouts ,here, are talking with them on internet and radio. Sinbad understood completely everything except on thing, what was “wosm” ? he asked . the scout said that wosm is “world organisation of scout movement”. Sinbad liked that camp much and asked how he could participate. Tha scout said that you are also a scout and if you talk with your patrol and scout leader, you can form a camp. İf you cannot go camp, you can also participate joti at you home on internet. Sinbad leaved the scout after saying thank you. While he was going home, he phoned his scout firends and leader , and said that he wanted a camp. The next day, they all formed a own jota-joti station camp and participated jota-joti... ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ BEE and JAGUAR PATROLS That day, sinbad had come to İzmir by plane. He was looking forward to go Alsancak. The scouts also were looking forward to meet him. Patrol leaders had made their patrols come together and they went to Alsancak to see Sinbad. Everyone were looking for Sinbad and a scout from bee patrol saw him. As soos as seeing him, she said to Alev, scout leader. After talking with him, they invited Sinbad to scout group’s building. Patrols had talked with him in row. When the turn was bee and leopard patrols, Sinbad first asked about scouting. The scouts in the patrol had told that scouting had founded by Robert Baden Powel in 1907 in Brownsea Island. Than, sinbad asked the scouting history in Turkey. They continued with that scouting had formed by Ahmet-Abdurrahman Robenson Brothers in 1912 in Galatasaray high school and İstanbul boy high school. Before leaving, sinbad said thank you for that informations. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ PENGUIN PATROL Sinbad entered to joti jota camp and came face to face with Ege. Ege invites him inside, he goes into room and cleans himself. At that time, yiğit enters room and asks who he is. Ege says that he is Sinbad. They greets together. Emir also had come to room. Sinbad wants to learn about scouting in Turkey. Ege starts telling that scouting had founded in 1912 by a fex teacher at Galatasaray high school. İzdos had founded in 2012 by Hülya Bilgen and one more scout leaders in İzmir. Our patrol is penguin. It is founded for jota joti camp in 2014 by the leadership of Alev Selçuk.
