The Sibanda Camp is an annual event which started in 1995, where scouts and scouters from around the Province meet, share ideas, learn together and have fun. The late Robert Sibanda, the former Provincial Commissioner for Mashonaland started the camp, as an Easter camp. This year marks 18 years since the passing on of the late Robert Sibanda who was the founder of the camp. The camp activities included training bases, team games, campsite improvement, a Scouts Own on Easter Sunday and a campfire on Sunday night. Inspection of the campsites and the scouts will be carried out every morning. Inspection included personal hygiene, uniform, kitchens (wet and dry pits, gadgets, pots and pans, fireplace) and camp site (camp layout, tentage). The scouts will be given advice on how to improve their campsites, encouraged to visit each other’s sites and share ideas. A final inspection of the campsites will be at the end of the camp.
