Under the program"Sewa Hi Dharam" by Bharat Scout and Guide,Udhampur are participating in disposal Transport Cell headed by District Administration, Udhampur to manage the movement of Buses from Udhampur to De-boarding point i.e Railway Station Katra via Screening point at Battal Ballian. District Secretary Balwan Singh told that Scout Master Rakesh Sharma, Amar dev Singh and Ajay Kumar are managing the distribution of packets, water bottles and face masks etc. While Rakesh Singh, Vivek Gupta and Vikram Gupta are helping in preparating list of labors. He further told that Bharat Scouts and Guides are in touch with district administration to help at this time of need. Some Scouts Masters viz Arun Gupta are serving at Screening points at Railway Station Udhampur while Guide Captain Priyanka Sharma and AnuRadha Sharma are helping in Community Kitchen to provide food to needy. Joint Secretary Rakesh Sharma said “Scouts are always stood as a wall against all threats to the country and every time our Scouts have come out in large numbers and Serve Society.It is our turn to applaud the sacrifice of our Corona warriors.”This was also to assure the nation that inspite of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Scouting team is fully prepared to address any type of threat. District Commission Ashok Kumar praised the wok done by volunteers of Scouts and Guides and told that We have tried to salute those who have supported themselves in the fight against Corona all over the world today. We salute every Corona fighter in the world.
