The Brigada Eskwela, or the National Schools Maintenance Week, is an annual national activity spearheaded by the Department of Education that mobilizes parents, alumni, socio-civic groups, and individuals to volunteer and take part in working on maintenance work and or repairs. The Scouts from the Boy Scouts of the Philippines Bacolod City Council, Philippine Youth Network for Interfaith Dialogue, and Agila Bacolod took part Paglaum Village Elementary School and Paglaum Village National High School on August 5, 2022. Together with the Scouts are Sir Gary D. Sugaron, ALT, Council Scout Executive, Sir Joezar V. Barreto, WBH/CML, and Sir Jemar Xavier Del Castillo, ES/GAA/AMCA who also gave a talk to during the opening ceremony. Ma'am Rossana G. Villanueva, LT, Principal of Paglaum Village Elementary School and Ma'am May Castillo, Principal of Paglaum Village National High School spearheaded the event.
