Scouts around the world visiting Greece

The word "philoxenia" is borrowed from Ancient Greek "φῐλοξενῐ́ᾱ" (philoxeníā) and as a noun means eagerness to show hospitality... During last summer, Greece and Soma Hellinon Proskopon (Scouts of Greece) had the chance to host 572 Scouts and Guides from all over the world by helping them to organize and carry out their own events in our beautiful country. Scouts and Guides from Belgium, Cyprus, Denmark, France, Germany, Italy, Lebanon, Poland, and Switzerland visited the stone-built castle town of Monemvasia, swam in the deep blue waters of Thassos, experienced the Ancient Greek ideals in Olympia, slept under the starry sky of the lush Parnassus! All we hope is to see you again next year in order to say: "kalós ílthate" (welcome)!
