scouts actively assess heights

Hello friends, let me introduce myself, my name is SEPTIA RIZKI FITRIANTI from SMPN 01 Kandangserang, West Cambodia team. Today, Friday 3 May 2024, we are carrying out scouting activities. Today's material is, estimating height. Estimating height is one of the basic skills that every Scout must master. These skills can be used in a variety of situations, such as: -Estimating the height of trees or buildings for climbing or exploring activities. -Determine a safe distance when crossing a river or ravine. -Assist in rescue or evacuation operations. -Create maps or sketches. Here, I am assessing the height of the flagpole. The method is as follows: 1. Use a 150cm long stick, then position the stick far from the flag. To adjust the height of the flagpole, one person holds the stick. 2. One person lies on his back, with one eye closed, then adjusts the height of the stick to the height of the flagpole. 3. Once it is appropriate, walk with firm steps from the tip of your head to the flagpole. 4. Determine the strapping step from the tip of the head to the stick. then, determine the sturdy steps from the stick to the flagpole. Stick height 150cm. Then calculate everything with the formula. Hope it is useful...
