Scout of the World Discovery Workshop for Rovers

The Scouts of the World Award encourages all young people, Scouts and non-Scouts, aged 15 to 26, to think about and act on global issues that they care about in their communities. The projects are organized around three major themes: development, peace, and the environment. The award is divided into two parts: A Scout of the Globe Discovery, where you investigate and learn about issues that affect your neighborhood and the rest of the world. A Scout of the World Voluntary Service is a commitment of at least 80 volunteer hours to a community project that you design to address one of the issues identified in your community. The Scouts of the World Award encourages scouts to learn and then act in order to gain the skills and knowledge they need to make a positive social effect in their society. When they finish a project, they join a global network of scouts working to make a difference.
