Saudi Scouts Universities Project

Saudi Female Rovers Project is one of the main Scouting projects implemented in Saudi Arabia aiming to activate the participation of Saudi youth in volunteer and community work in eight universities in the Kingdom through the scout movement and to build organized scout groups in Saudi universities to support the participation of women and youth in the scout movement locally and internationally, and to encourage more involvement in community volunteer work in the higher education sector as part of Alwaleed Philanthropies. By aligning volunteer programs in Saudi universities with the framework of the World Organization of the Scout Movement, targeting 5 educational organizations mainly universities, the project worked to develop the educational program for the higher education sector and integrate 500 university students within the scout movement and influence 100,000 A young man and a girl in the Kingdom through community and voluntary initiatives The project is implemented in partnership with the Saudi Arabian Scout Association- Girl Scout committee, targetting with several universities/organizations such as PNU, IAU, KKU, DGDA, and KSU through supporting them with building the capacity of their leaders and structuring the educational program within their universities program, so far three started the program and two are launching it this year achieving the below: 5 universities Adapting the Program 30 university staff with improved capacity for Scouting and execution of the program 10 female leaders certified with wooden badge 28 female leaders certified with the second level 10 female leaders certified with the initial level 180 Rovers from the students in PNU and IAU 300 students influenced or participated in the scouting activities
