
Sarawak Scouts Plant 100 Trees
On 21st March 2022, in conjunction with the International Day of Forests, The Scouts Association of Malaysia Sarawak Branch was invited by the Sarawak Forest Department to a Tree Planting Program at Sabal Forest Reserve, Simunjan (around 2 hours drive from Kuching). The program was officiated by the Deputy Director of Sarawak Forest Department, Mr Jack Liam. In his speech, he mention that how forest take it parts to ensuring the well -being of universal life is preserved.
As a record, around 10.4 millions trees was planted in Sarawak in year 2021.
Those who present in the event including The Sarawak Chief Scout Commissioner, Captain Zainuddin Tan Sri Hamdan, The 2nd Deputy Chief Scout Commissioner, Mr Methodius MacDonald Segie, State Training Commissioner, Mr Ngatiman Sarepin, State Program Commissioner, Mr Abang Zulfikar bin Abang Zaini and some commissioners.
