RJEC turning the plastic tide

Ruai Junior Education Center is a school located in Ruai zone that prides itself in striving for excellence. True to that on March 20th 2024 the scouts in their numbers mobilized as part of their plastic tide turners challenge activities to clean their immediate community and breathe freshness to a landscape previously polluted by the vagaries of urban high rise and market excesses. The scouts did not miss a chance to recover and re-use empty milk packets and recovered avocado seeds to set up a fruit tree nursery so that they too can help tackle climate change later in the year by planting the seedlings that they are determined to grow. The school principal who led from the front supported by the scout leaders, teachers confess that this is not their first clean up exercise and through their sustained action against littering and pollution the scouts and the school earned keen admiration locally and beyond.
