RIVER CLEAN UP WITH THE UK MINISTER IN NAIROBI

The UK Minister for Nature, Ms. Rebecca Pow, who was leading the UK delegation to the 6th United Nations Environmental Assembly, joined 30 plastic tide turners champions from Kenya Girl Guides Association and Kenya Scouts Association in a River Clean up and tree planting exercise at City Park Nairobi. We got an opportunity to share with the delegation some of the milestones that the Kenya Scouts Association has made under the Tide Turners Plastic Challenge and also the contribution that scouts are making towards reduction, re-using and recycling plastics. The Minister was also accompanied by Bruno Pozzi, Deputy Director of UNEP Ecosystems Division, and Josephine Gauld, Deputy High Commissioner and Permanent Representative to UN Environment Programme and UN Habitat, FCDO.
