Revolutionize Communication: APR Workshop 2021
I am thrilled to share my experience participating in the Asia Pacific Region Workshop on Communications and Media 2021, representing the Mayumo Rover Scouts and Bulacan Council as the Assistant Circle Manager. The 3-day webinar series was held from July 29 to July 31, 2021, and I must say it was one of the most insightful and enriching experiences I have had as a Scouting leader.
The workshop's primary objective was to provide an overview of how the pandemic has changed the way we communicate and to explore communication options for staying connected as a Movement while keeping members engaged in Scouting. The workshop was led by experienced professionals and covered a wide range of topics that helped us stay informed and connected.
The speakers and NSO presenters shared their knowledge and experiences on how to stay connected as a Movement, which was particularly relevant given the current situation of limited physical gatherings and events. They provided valuable insights into digital and online communication platforms, social media management, and content creation, which will be incredibly useful for us to keep our members engaged.
The workshop also provided us with the opportunity to connect and network with Scouting leaders from different parts of the Asia Pacific Region. The interactive sessions and breakout rooms allowed us to exchange ideas and best practices, which will be beneficial in our local council's operations and events.
As a participant, I can attest that the workshop was a well-organized and well-executed event that exceeded my expectations. The organizers ensured that the participants had access to all the necessary resources and materials needed for the workshop, making it a seamless experience.
In conclusion, I highly recommend the APR Workshop on Communications and Media 2021 to all Scouting leaders looking to enhance their knowledge and skills in communication and media. The workshop provided us with invaluable insights and tools to keep our members engaged and connected during these challenging times. I am grateful for the opportunity to have participated in this workshop and look forward to applying the learnings in my role as the Assistant Circle Manager.
