PROJECT KALIKA ( Kabataang Lingkod Kapwa) | Nueva Ecija Council and Nueva Ecija Youth Action Network (NEYAN)

For Tahanan ng Damayang Kristiyano and Dumagat Tribe

The way we look at life situations, the things and people around us, and accept those they brought us, make us feel the importance of being human, of being not just passive members of butalso optimistic and active changers of the society. These advocacies, the path we chose to chart guide us towards the obtain men to fempathy-arealization that bridges us, that brings us together for one, great cause.

Set on December27,2020, the Project KALIKA or Kabataang Lingkod Kapwa commenced

Under the tutelage of the Nueva Ecija Youth Action Network (NEYAN) and the Messengers of Peace , the Boy Scouts of the Philippines – Nueva Ecija Council (BSP-NEC).

Having two phases, on its first, with the unwavering support and trust of

The donors, supporters of the afore said organizations, this project was made possible all the way to the Tahanan ng Damayang Kristiyano (TDK), San Jose City, Nueva Ecija. Believing that on top of the happiness, joy, and simple tokens of appreciation to our  elders at the TDK, this phase was geared towards abolishing the stigma of ageism  that remained a dream for long years, for people and for the society at large; however, was positively turned to reality thru the strongallies, making our hearts fortunate and humble enough to carry on.

Of all the joint ventures and flagship advocacies of the NEYAN, uplifting the 17 United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), on December 30 ,2020 , the Project KALIKA on its second phase, this time  for our Dumagat brothers and sisters at the Sitio Pagsanjan Elementary School, Sitio Pagsanjan, Brgy. Pinamalisan, Gabaldon, Nueva Ecija, opened our eyes to see more than the realities of life, as others may not have seen them thru their naked eyes.

Further, this phase began our ears to listen to life-moving stories, those unheard and untold experiences, those that made the tribe's culture and traditions richer; thus, dwelling with supreme longevity, just as how were mained steadfast amid almost eight-hour walk in total, voyaging 18-taunting rivers of chest – deep while eye-savoring the mountain ranges of Sierra Madre.

More than the extension of caring, loving, and protecting arms for our brothers and sisters, the NEYAN equally shares the delight with the Great BSP-NEC. Indeed, our hearts deeply appreciate the lushness and uniqueness of their culture. Truly, this brings hope to the young generation to litgreat possibilities for the tribe and the good hearts of the Novo Ecijanos in particular and of the Filipinos in general.
