Saving our planet isn't only about technology or policies. It also starts with education. We, the Blue Planet Warriors together with Osiepe Sango (Friends of Lake Victoria), had an online webinar which brought together young people to share insights on plastic pollution state on Lake Victoria. The session, themed: "The Plastic Conservation" gave us a platform to share insights on the Current state of Plastic pollution both regionally, nationally & in Kisumu, Local case studies, and Behavior change strategies - together with some of the success stories on our previous engagements towards beating plastic pollution on Lake Victoria. Understanding the situation we're in will help us connect and implement community-led and youth-led initiatives towards protecting and restoring back Lake Victoria from plastic pollution - because we, as community members, are responsible for 80% conservation of our surrounding environment and ecosystem.
