The Vice President of the National Assembly Eduard Sharmazanov, NA deputy, a member of the ARF faction Mikayel Manukyan and NA deputy Vahe Hovhannisyan on December 15, 2015, in the National Assembly have issued a statement, announcing the formation of the parliamentarians group"Friends of Scouting”. As mentioned in the statement, this initiative is aimed to support active involvement of youth in public relations, to provide a legal framework assuring the opportunity for young people to take future leadership and to expand international cooperation in this regard. The parliamentarians group "Friends of Scouting" will join the World Scout Parliamentary Union (WSPU) and in 2016 will attend the organization’s 8th Conference, hosted by Sweden.
