On October 18th, I being the growth coordinator of Barrackpore Local Association ( North 24 Parganas) was entrusted with the work to conduct an orientation session for the scouts & guides of Aditya Academy Secondary School, Kadamgachi Barasat. The session lasted for almost an hour where I had to introduce to the young boys and girls to scouting and what it meant. I had also put immense focus on describing the various activities undertaken as scouts, camping life, adventure, proficiency and progress in scouting and how it would help one in building self-confidence and rationality in life. The session was conducted within two equally divided parts- the first being for the primary students from Class 1-5 and the other for the senior-secondary students of classes 6-12.
