Observing Social Forestry Day in MCS.

What inspired you to take up the project?

Planting saplings in schools plays a vital role in creating a green, healthy, and welcoming environment. Trees not only beautify the school compound but also provide fresh air, shade, and a sense of calmness that supports better learning. A green school environment reduces heat, minimizes pollution, and encourages students to connect with nature.

What are the learnings you got from implementing this project and how would you make it better?

Taking care of saplings is equally important, as it teaches responsibility, patience, and the value of nurturing life. When students actively water, protect, and monitor the growth of saplings, they develop environmental awareness and a sense of ownership towards their surroundings. Over time, these saplings grow into strong trees that stand as a lasting contribution from the students and staff to their school.

Where was your project implemented and how did you execute it?

Sections distribution to each department and area assigned to respective teachers for bush cutting, weeding around the sapling to mark Social Forestry Day aimed at creating a clean and green school environment on 2nd June 2026.
