Wow!!! It was really refreshing. The just concluded Enugu State Scout Unit Leaders Refresher Course that was held at CPS Amokpo via St Paul Parish MBULUOWEHE from the 15th to 17th of April 2016 was attended by 30 Scouts from all around Enugu State. The course was which was Directed by Comrade Mike Okwor (ALT) the State Training Commissioner, was graced by dignitaries during the opening ceremony which includes, The Enugu State Scout Commissioner, Chief Nduka Eya, Honourable represented by the State Honorary Secretary, Bar. BEN. Ekwedigwe, The ACC & HOD Communication Bar. Mary Emengo (WB), The South East Zonal Training Commissioner Prince Uche Madu (LT) and other SHQCs, including the HM CPS Amokpo. The highlight of the event is the total submission of the Headmistress of the School to Scouting after observing the tremendous good change which the Scouts did in the school compound just to emphasize more on the Scouting ethics "..... Leave the camp arena better then how it was met." She promised to reopen the falling Scout troop in the school and provide them with all necessary Scouting materials. To top it most, she pledged to be invested as a scout during the investiture of the new Scout in the School. A flag pole with the Nigeria Flag was donated to the school by the STC, Comrade Mike Okwor and was kept flying. The course was a success as the participants shown great desire and can't wait to return back to the troops and groups to demonstrate the training been impact on them, Especially the Proficiency Badge System been introduced in the Scouting. The State Training Team, giving what they known best to do promised a great change in Enugu State Scouting as they (we) are determined in transforming Enugu State Scout into creating a better Scout and a better world.
