New Zambia Scouts Leaders Inducted
The Zambia Scout Association that just held its EOGM last February and elected new leadership, through the assistance of MoP funding has continued to strive on to bring back scouting in Zambia after a protracted long period of leadership swabbles. This weekend the association is inducting all its National and Divisional Commissioners including the National Training Team.at a traing dubbed "Joint National and Divisional Commissioners Plus Training Team MoP, PLanning and Induction Workshop being held at the Olympic Youth Development Centre (OYDC) in LUsaka.
The Two days workshop was officially opened by Lusaka Province Minister Hon. Bowman Lusambo who pledge government support to the movement. The Minister said government was pleased to see ZSA putting its house in order again considering that organization was an important one that deals with the welfare of young people who were the future leaders of the country.
He said discipline was cardinal if the wrangles that hit the movement were to be avoided adding that no organization ever succeeded where procedure was ignored hence the need for all in the association to follow laid down rules and procedures.
Hon. Lusambo said the government was ready to support the organization and it was up to the members to now focus their efforts on working together as a team to achieve their goals.
about 40 participants are taking part in this event with Zimbabwe supporting it through their Chief Scout who also shared their good practices. Two Scouters from Zimbabwe are attending as facilitators.
