Nachung Mobile Camp: Scouting Adventure & Skills
What inspired you to take up the project?
My motivation for this project was to introduce young children to the values and skills of scouting. I wanted to help them gain foundational scouting knowledge, build teamwork and communication skills, and support their progress through traditional scout assessments while inspiring a lifelong passion for service.
What are the learnings you got from implementing this project and how would you make it better?
Organizing and teaching at the Nachung camp taught me how to communicate effectively with younger children and lead team-building activities. I learned the importance of patience, clear instruction, and how structured peer mentoring can help young scouts successfully build confidence and master new skills.
Where was your project implemented and how did you execute it?
We executed the Nachung mobile camp by organizing engaging, hands-on learning sessions for the children. We taught them essential scouting skills—including drills, Messenger of Peace (MOP) beat, rope work, and basic first aid—alongside fun team-building games to help them with their scout badge assessments.
