My journey to become a Scout Go Solar Ambassador

Recently, a training session was held in Nairobi, Kenya for future ambassadors of the Scouts Go Solar program. This was a first of its kind training in which scouts from 15 countries in Africa participated.
During the sessions we discovered the power of the sun and how to take full advantage of this gift that is offered to us more in Africa than in any other continent in the world. Through fun and informative activities, we were able to get an overview of the scope of this program, its importance and the possibility of adapting it to all age groups:

  • understand the power of the sun and its contribution to our daily life,
  • create multiple games such as the grasshoper race, the solar beep, quiz cards, ...
  • create equipment such as the solar suitcase or the solar air conditioner,
  • and even more ...

I thank the World Scout Bureau through the Africa Support Centre and especially the trainers, facilitators and our partner Solafrica for organizing this training through which we could acquire new knowledge and skills to create a better world.

For me, this solar adventure begins here 🌞 Madagascar here I am! 🇲🇬
