More Youths train in MoP and U-Reporting

More than 30 Scouts got trained in Messenger of Peace (MoP) Initiative and U-Reporting last weekend Saturday 11 September 2018 following the earlier training of trainers last month. Rovers Annie Mumba and Chilufya Kaenga that attended the July 2018 trainers course, on Saturday engaged other Scouts to share the information and spread the MoP word. Mumba trained 16 scouts from the Salvation Army Church in John Leing Township while Kaenga trained 15 scouts in Chainda Township on the same day. Thanks goes to UNICEF Communication for Development Specialist, Mr. James Simasiku and UNICEF Adolescent Development Officer, Mr. Francis Kapapa through their offices we received support materials like arm bands, leaflets, and posters for U-reporting. We are grateful to UNICEF for this support and hope to continue collaborating with them on many different issues affecting our community. After the training, the scouts in Chainda decided to also participate in cleaning the market and surrounding area of their training venue as a gesture of appreciation for the training.
