Litter... Why does it matter?
JULY 8, 2020 - Ultimately, littering contributes to plastic pollution. In all sorts of places such as land, water, and even the atmosphere - there's plastic pollution. Forty percent of plastic production comes from packaging. People tend to throw single-use plastics whenever and wherever they want to. They have no idea of the impacts of their litter.
Today marks the second activity under Be Aware stage of my Tide Turners Plastic Challenge Badge journey. In the first video, it tackled the life cycle of a plastic bottle. From production to where it goes after someone used it. While the second video, it expanded my knowledge about plastics. Both videos came from TedEd Earth School, and one of the videos adopted from National Geographic.
Littering is an unearthly habit. Most littered material in such places is plastics. It gives convenience to people since there's no extra baggage in their hands. Take note of this - the Earth is carrying all of our baggage.
