KSU-FLAMINGO ROVERSMoP Workshop 2026

What inspired you to take up the project?

Kenya faces growing intergenerational conflict, with elders dismissing youth as inexperienced and young people excluded from leadership. Instructor Scouts: Building Quality Scouting bridges this divide by empowering Jasiri Scouts as certified instructors who mentor with discipline and innovation. Through tools like Climate Peace Watch, the project embeds peace and climate resilience, positioning youth as partners — complementing elder wisdom while proving their capacity to lead responsibly.

What are the learnings you got from implementing this project and how would you make it better?

We learnt about the Better World Framework and global programmes like MoP and Dialogue for Peace. We got to learn that our small local projects can create an impact to the society and contribute to the global goal of creating a better world. We have learnt that when we LEARN, ACT, SHARE ;we INSPIRE others to join the trend of creating impact and becoming agents of change.

Where was your project implemented and how did you execute it?

We had a 2 day workshop encompassing of group discussions, presentations and group activities.
