KENYA SCOUTS TRAINING ON PSYCHOLOGICAL FIRST AID

Courtesy of the Scouts Healing Invisible Wounds, 35 Rover Scouts and Scout Leaders drawn from 15 counties in Kenya were trained on Psychological First Aid. This is a training aimed at equipping participants with skills to offer support to someone in crisis or distress using the PFA principles, good communication skills during the response, and most importantly, how to practice self-care. The training was done in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Amani Counselling Centre and Training Institute. Scouts Healing Invisible Wounds endeavors to create a community of young mental health champions and more safe spaces in our communities.
