These are self evaluation test and  activities organised by the Kenya Scouts Association to be able not only to assess the scouts mastery of the scouting knowledge ,dictums but also be able to equip young people with skills to be able to work together in small teams called patrol ,majorly to build their self confidence ,self worth,encourge the spirit of teamwork ,consistency ,commitment and discipline.

Competition camps give young scouts an opportunity to be able to interact ,share ideas and experience of scouting adventure as conceived by our founder Lord Baden Powel.It offers a platform where one  can be able to contemplate about the societal issues affecting the community and offer solutions to these problems through the idealistic nature of scouts which helps them to achive their full potential as young citizens .Majorly scouts are assessed and listed based on three major areas:Inspections ,Bases and Projects.

These competitions majorly targets the junior ventures,senior ventures and rovers to develop their scouting skills.Over the years this has helped to support the growth of the no of scouts acrosss kenya and also to assess the growth of scouts from the lower section to the highest .
