Invest in Peace for Everyone
What inspired you to take up the project?
We were inspired to celebrate **Peace Day** to help students understand the importance of peace, kindness, respect, and cooperation. We wanted students to learn that everyone can contribute to creating a peaceful and happy school community through their words and actions.
What are the learnings you got from implementing this project and how would you make it better?
Through this project, we learned that **peace begins with kindness, respect, and cooperation**. We also learned the importance of working together, expressing our ideas creatively, and appreciating others’ efforts. The earthquake mock drill taught us the importance of **staying calm, following safety instructions, and being prepared for emergencies**.
Where was your project implemented and how did you execute it?
We started the Peace Day celebration with a speech by the Scout Leader on the theme **“Invest in Peace for Everyone.”** Students then took part in a class-wise peace-themed drawing activity, followed by assessment and certificate awarding to the winners. We also conducted an **earthquake mock drill** to promote safety and preparedness. The programme concluded with all students and staff reflecting on the importance of peace, kindness, and cooperation.
