International Peace Day Celebration 2025

International Peace Day Celebration at Motithang HSS The Scouts of Motithang Higher Secondary School celebrated International Peace Day on 21st September with great enthusiasm and unity. The program was organized to promote peace, harmony, and mindfulness among students and teachers. The celebration began with a peace talk, where scout leaders and teachers spoke about the true meaning of peace and how young people can contribute to creating a peaceful world. The talk inspired everyone to reflect on their actions and relationships with others. After that, we had a mindfulness practice session. Everyone sat quietly and focused on their breathing, calming their minds and learning to stay present. This helped us feel more peaceful inside and more connected to one another. One of the special moments of the day was when we read the time capsule prepared by our seniors in previous years. It was meaningful to see their hopes and messages for a peaceful future. We also added our own notes and wishes to the capsule, which will be opened by future scouts. The event continued with experience sharing, where students shared their thoughts and personal stories about what peace means to them. Some talked about resolving conflicts with friends, while others shared how kindness and understanding can make a big difference in our daily lives. The program ended with a peace pledge and song, reminding everyone that peace begins with each of us. The whole celebration was filled with positivity, learning, and togetherness. Through these activities, the Scouts of Motithang HSS learned that peace is not just the absence of conflict, but the presence of compassion, respect, and mindfulness in everything we do.
