With the ultimate goal of equipping the young people in San Luis, Pampanga with innovative and problem-solving skills to address community issues, the Lualu Scouting Community, Boy Scouts of the Philippines organized an Awareness Activity on Impact Innovators Challenge under the #LifeLeaders initiative of the World Scouting.

Sixteen Scouts from San Luis, Pampanga were engaged in different learning sessions and fun activities. The Scouts learned the steps on how to achieve the Impact Innovators Badge. More importantly, the Scouts discovered the process of Design Thinking and how it can help them create innovative solutions to solve community issues. Furthermore, the Scouts were able to apply the fundamentals of Design Thinking through a fun activity called Bridge to Design Thinking.

"At first, the fear of not being able to immediately come up with a great solution bothered me a lot. However, through this awareness activity, I realized that it was naturally like that, because design thinking is not linear, it is iterative." -Rainne

The next step is to take on the challenge! We are excited for these Scouts to take the next step towards creating innovative solutions for their communities.
