The fourth day’s webinar ‘I’m a Global Citizen ‘started at sharp 4 pm with a general salute and a scout prayer. Madam Mehra welcomed the Chief Guest, Guest Speaker, International Commissioner BSG India change makers and participants to the webinar. The Chief Guest, Dr. V Vijayalakshmi, National Commissioner (Guide0 BSG India addressed the gathering. Madam appreciated NHQ for organizing a lot of programme even during the pandemic. She opined that the realization of 17 SDGs would result in harmonious living of all sections and all sects of people. Mr. Jeevan Babu, IAS, State Chief Commissioner, Kerala State BSG, the Guest Speaker of the Day highlighted the role played by the youth in realizing SDGs. Sir is of the opinion that to achieve the goals, targets and indicators are set. Sir emphasized that as an individual need to understand the sustainable goals, the power of the organization and the power of the team to work upon SDGs. He insisted that as a global citizen we must ensure that resources and facilities are shared among all for the betterment of humanity. Sir said that we need to do a lot to achieve the SDGs. Strengthening the community is the best way of realizing the goals of SDGs. A Fun Quiz was organized for the participants. Through quiz all learned much about SDGs. Ms. Monalisa Das, Ranger Leader shared her experience of providing quality education to less privileged and poor students and as a covid warrior. Mr. Shubham singh shared his experience of undertaking the project- SDG 6 Clean water and Sanitation. As a part of the project, door to door campaign was done to create awareness, introduced charcoal method, got municipality support and proceeded with the project. Feedback form to be submitted on the last day was discussed in detail. The webinar came to a close with the vote of thanks. Today’s webinar was very useful in understanding how to choose an SDG and for going on with the project to realize the goal set for its successful accomplishment.
