ILT 2023 Yopougon
What inspired you to take up the project?
I learnt a lot during my ilt and it changed quite a few things in me, especially in the way I approach things. I thought it was a rich programme in personal development and leadership and that it would be interesting for everyone to be able to benefit from it.
What are the learnings you got from implementing this project and how would you make it better?
I've learnt patience, not resignation; I've learnt that you have to have all the cards on your side, that you have to plan well and that you have to surround yourself with people who share the same vision of a better world... above all, I've learnt that there are an infinite number of young people who are bursting with talent and who dream... I've loved being able to give them hope that their dreams can come true and I'm working to make sure that they do.
Where was your project implemented and how did you execute it?
Last year I took part in our federal ilt and I wanted to bring it back to my locality. I called on resource people and, on the basis of selection criteria, we were able to get 20 young people and 5 accompanying leaders who benefited from the full programme after 4 months' preparation.
What was the project impact?
Around twenty people attended and benefited from this training. They became ambassadors in their districts and today they are striving to put the training into practice by becoming better and, above all, role models.
