I hope you don't find this story boring haha.
I am not the most talented at telling stories but here's my story of i learned to become a more well developped person.
When I was little (probably about the age of 4 or 5) I was a loner, and the only time someone would approach me is if I had snacks. I think some people can relate at this point. Then, it was around this time that my dad introduced me to scouting; and... let's just say I wasn't a big fan of it for the first few years. I was just a huge crybaby thirsty for attention and because of that, I couldn't really connect with others. Time went by, we went camping, did different activities, and I slowly learned to like it more and more. I was able to be the person I dreamt of being: sociable, outgoing...
THe reason I didn't quit was, obviously, my dad who would alwys say to me :"Don't worry, don't quit just yet, you'll see you'll love it " and as a matter of fact, I did love it eventually. From going in nature, working as a team, camping... It really opened doors for opportunities for me. Speaking of opportunities, if it wasn't for scouting, I would have never been to Korea during the last jamboree and i would have never made some friends overseas.
Anyways, I think the vital part of the story is how scouting helped me discover my better self and still helps me to this day by improving myself and my surrounding community.
If you read this far, thank you. Like, really I appreciate it.
