After Port Arthur the next station was Houens Odde scout center, which is one of the biggest scout centers in Northern Europe. And, for real, Anna and Gevorg were impressed. They had to be part of the staff for two weeks (week 28 and 29). And for two weeks they wanted to try and help in every activity, so they can learn as much as possible. One of the advantages of this center was the international volunteers, who came all over the world for long and short terms. The sea was also an advantage, and Anna and Gevorg were very excited that had the chance to try also the sea activities, especially because there is not any sea in Armenia. They learned so much in Mosehuset, and tried to take many of activities back with them to Armenia. They enjoyed the campfires, Danish New year’s eve, Christmas and Easter. During the two weeks, they met incredible staffs, great leaders, awesome people, who were ready to make the week success no matter how old they were and no matter that they had their children with them. Just like they said “once a scout, forever a scout”, and that is what they were trying to teach to their children. Gevorg had to celebrate his birthday on the last day of week 29. All the participants wished happy birthday to him, and the staff made delicious Danish cake just before heading to Assenbaek scout center.
