This programme aimed to implement a National growth strategy for Tanzania in order to stimulate and sustain membership growth: > GSAT self assessment workshop > Conduct training for national growth plan > Develop and implement a national growth plan > Conduct national recruitment drives and campaigns to attract membership > Implement membership management systems. As a result, for instance the Growth training, has enabled the rural marginalized Maasai community to be reached where previously Scouts did not reach this community. In addition, this community has been trained to take care of the environment, to be able to know how to use knots for their livestock and in normal developmental activities such as building houses.
