No fewer than additional 200,000 Scouts were being promised to be added to the number of Scouts in Anambra State. In his words the Governor of Anambra State, Chief (Dr) Willie M. Obiano who is equally a Scout from cradle said, he will triple the number of Scouting within the State. He reiterated that Scouting is a way of preventing Youth Vices within the Society. The call was made during the Scout Association of Nigeria 2016 Annual General Meeting that was hosting by the National Scout Organization alongside the State Scout Council. The President of Anambra State Scouts and Guides Council His Lordship Hon. Justice Peter N.C.Umeadi thanked the Governor for donating Two (2) 30-Seater Coaster Buses to The Scout Association of Nigeria and The Guide Association of Nigeria - Anambra State Scouts/Guides Council. In attendance at the Vehicles handover were: The Chief Scout of Nigeria, Engr. Ahmadu Rufai Mohammed - MON, the Deputy Chief Scout, Rev. Father Mathias Opara and the Chief Commissioner, Scout of Nigeria, Olori Omo-Oba Olusoga Sofolahan-FCE. We would like to appreciate the Governor for investing in the Youth Development in Nigeria.
