
The Ghana Scout Association Holds Annual General Meeting for 2017
The Ghana Scout Association held its Annual General Meeting on Saturday,27th May 2017.In attendance were Jerry Aikins,the Deputy Chief Scout Commissioner who is the chairman of the National Scout Council,Gregory Manful,Chief Commissioner and Louis Okyere,Deputy Chief Commissioner.
Delegates from the various regions of Ghana and their districts commissioners were also in attendance.
Jemima Nartey,the Vice Chair of World Scout Committe of World Organisation Of the Scout Movement as well as Victor Atipagah a member of the Africa Regional Scout Committee were also present.
A wide range of issues on scouting in Ghana were addressed.The Vice Chair of the World Scout Committee informed the Council of the new trends and admonished the association to keep working tiredlessly to continue impacting scouting into the youth.
The member of the Africa Regiona Scout Committee also urged regional Commissioners to do more to reach out to more youth in their regions.
The annual audited account and the financial position of the association was presented to the council by Hilary Awusie,the finance Commissioner.He also presented the annual budget to the council for approval of which the council approved after delibrating on it.
The meeting was held in the Conference hall of the Association's headquarters.It started at 10am and ended at 4pm.
