The Bangalore South District actively organized the celebrations honoring the Founder's Day and the Centenary of the Thinking Day while gathering more than 200 young people comprising cubs, bulbuls, scouts, guides, rovers and rangers at Shanti Gruha.The special guest of honor was Mr. Janapirith Fernando, Chairman of the Value Volunteering Sub-Committee of the Asia which in turn added immense value to the celebration and embody international friendships. 

Renewing their promises, reflecting on the principles guiding the movement forward while undertaking meaningful community service to reiterate their inclination towards creating a better world together was undertaken as a constituent activity for the founder's day. Strengthening international friendships and connecting with scouts and guides globally to celebrate the unity and diversity represented the tasks undertaken as a result of thinking day. The day embodied and symbolized an opportunity to learn and take necessary action to address issued faced by local communities through abiding by the path of innovation and sustainability. 

In addition to the formal ceremony comprising sharing of insights from leaders and young people, presentation of long service decorations to unit leaders, distribution of service stars to youth members and sessions on the key takeaways from our founder’s journeys. Everyone engaged in activities namely Knots of Friendship, Threads of Our Connection, Selfie Booths, Postcard for Tomorrow and Friendship Scavenger Hunt. 

The district concentrated efforts towards delivering a resourceful and impactful event honoring and celebrating the Founder’s Day and Thinking Day. The mixture of keynote addresses, renewal of promise, engagement through community service actions, creative photo booths and fun activity bases helped transform the celebration into a judicious one while enhancing its overall value and receptivity from all the participants.
